The most traditional way to eat a schnitzel dinner is at one of Austria’s family-run, backyard wine taverns called a heuriger. Outside of central Vienna – in the town of Perchtoldsdorf – there are many different heurigen open for the summer season, each owned by a different family (visitors know they’re open for the season when there’s a light on outside). I think it would be so fun to host an event at one of these restaurants – I’m sure everyone would especially enjoy the delicious home-made wine!
